MISSIONERS OF CHRIST
The Missioners of Christ is a Roman Catholic lay apostolate community committed to evangelization, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the building up of His Church. The hub of community activity revolves around the St. John Paul II Formation Center in Comayagua, Honduras. The Missioners work under the guidance, care and approval of the Bishop of Comayagua, Most Reverend Roberto Camilleri. The types of ministry they perform are primarily broken up into two categories: relational and evangelical. In collaboration with the priests of the diocese, the missioners work to meet the catechetical and sacramental needs of the communities they visit. When they are not ‘going out,’ they are busy building and maintaining relationships with people of the local community. These relationships are manifested in a variety of ministries which include, but are not limited to tutoring young children, working with boys and girls orphanages, translating and assisting at medical brigades, and leading youth ministry/confirmation events and retreats.
